Foundational Clinical Observation for Beginner & Early-Career Injectors

Spend a full day shadowing Madison Hopkins, BSN, RN — aesthetic injector, educator, and trainer at Art of Injecting Academy. Known for her approachable teaching style and patient-centered care, Madison is the ideal mentor for new injectors looking to build confidence in real-world practice.

During a 7-8 hour day, you’ll observe a wide range of treatments which may include:

  • Full-face harmonization with filler
  • PRF and regenerative treatments
  • Sculptra and biostimulators
  • Neuromodulators (Botox/Dysport)
  • New patient consultations and treatment planning

Every shadowing day is unique, giving you an authentic look at clinic flow, charting, and patient communication. Madison emphasizes safe technique, anatomy fundamentals, and developing your aesthetic eye — making this experience invaluable for injectors who are just starting out.

Take your shadow day to the next level with a hands-on model injection under the direct guidance of your trainer. This add-on allows you to put what you observed into practice, building confidence and reinforcing technique in a real clinical setting.

You’ll work on one live model, applying the specific skills you want to focus on — whether that’s lip filler, cheeks, jawline, or another area of interest. This personalized training ensures you leave your shadow day not only inspired, but equipped with practical experience.

Important Information:

  • This is an observation-based learning experience (not a certification course).
  • Hands-on experience is only available through the optional add-on.
  • Travel and accommodations are not included.
  • All participants must hold appropriate medical credentials (NP, PA, RN, DDS, or MD).

Recommended For: Injectors with at least 1-3 years of practice, seeking supportive mentorship and foundational clinical exposure.

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    To ensure the highest standards of care and expertise, we require all participants to hold the appropriate credentials. Specifically, you must be a NP, PA, RN, DDS, or MD. Proof of these credentials is mandatory for enrollment in our training programs or shadowing.

    All of our in-person trainings are designed for injectors who have been practicing for a few years and are confident in foundational techniques—especially those participating in hands-on sessions. This ensures that each attendee has a solid understanding of facial anatomy and injection fundamentals. The recommended experience level for each course is outlined within its individual description.

    what to bring

    Just bring your enthusiasm to learn! We provide a workbook, injectables, and all necessary materials. Scrubs or comfortable attire is recommended, as well as something to take notes if preferred.

    certifications + CME credits

    We offer CME credits for select trainings, with eligibility and credit hours clearly indicated on each individual course listing.

    If CME credits are not available for a particular training, participants will still receive an official certificate of completion from Art of Injecting, provided in physical form after the training concludes.

    reschedule policy

    Due to the limited availability and extensive preparation required for our trainings, we require a minimum of 6 weeks’ notice for any cancellations or reschedule requests.

    More than 6 Weeks Before Training Date:

    Cancellations made at least 6 weeks in advance are eligible for a full refund or may be rescheduled at no additional charge. Please note: all refunds are subject to Shopify’s standard processing fee of approximately 3%, which cannot be refunded.

    3–6 Weeks Before Training Date:

    Cancellations within this timeframe will incur a 50% cancellation fee of the total training cost. Rescheduling may be available, subject to spot availability.

    Less than 3 Weeks Before Training Date:

    Cancellations made within 3 weeks of the scheduled training date are non-refundable.

    Medical or Weather-Related Issues:

    If you are unable to attend due to illness or if severe weather prevents travel, please notify us promptly. A training credit will be issued to apply toward a future date.
